Due to COVID-19 Virus and concern for the attendees, the convention committee has recommended that the convention will be postponed to an undetermined date. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
For those that have registered and paid, we will initiate the refund process. If registration was through PAYPAL, we will also refund through that method. If registration was by cheque, either your cheque will be returned if had not been deposited or a cheque from NMRA-NFR will be issued.
Bayview Junction is the well-known stretch of track between Hamilton and Burlington which can arguably produce the best train-watching in Ontario. Traffic for CN, CP (former TH&B), GO transit, VIA rail and Amtrak will fill your camera lens if you get the schedules right.
The convention provides opportunity to learn from masters as well as see some incredible modelling on their home layouts. Here are a sample of some of those layouts:
The 2020 Niagara Regional Convention has been announced for Hamilton. The location will be at Mohawk College, 135 Fennell Ave W. at the corner of West Fifth St, Hamilton, ON L9C 0E5, which is on the north side of Hamilton Mountain. The date is May 22-24, 2020.
